Hacker Uses Chinese AI Tool ARTEX in Attacks on South Korean Banks
Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike reported that an unidentified, likely Chinese-speaking, financially motivated attacker used the Chinese-developed AI pentesting tool ARTEX and large language models such as Claude Code to steal data from South Korean financial institutions, and the tool's developer has since made it closed-source.
